Is the video sent anywhere?
No. Camera frames are processed entirely on this Mac and are never stored or transmitted. Nothing goes over the network.
Are photos of my face saved?
No. Only an irreversible feature vector is stored — the original face can't be reconstructed from it, and no images are kept.
Will it drain my battery?
Barely. 5 fps capture plus adaptive sampling measures around 5% of one efficiency core, and monitoring pauses automatically during display sleep and clamshell mode.
