FAQ

Questions

Will it copy my passwords?

No. Password managers mark their copies with org.nspasteboard.ConcealedType, and microClip never stores anything carrying that mark. On top of that, 13 known password managers are excluded by default, and you can add your own.

Where is the history stored?

In ~/Library/Application Support/microClip — on this Mac only. Nothing is uploaded anywhere.

Does it need the internet?

No. Apart from activating your license, microClip makes no network calls. It works offline forever.

What permissions does it need?

Accessibility is optional. Grant it and ↩ pastes directly into the app in front; without it, capture, search and copy all still work.

Can it sync between Macs?

History never syncs — that is a deliberate choice. Settings alone can sync through your microai.jp account if you want them to.

Can I get a refund?

If it's within 14 days of purchase, contact support and we'll take care of it under our refund policy.
