AI typing fixer for macOS

Type it wrong. Press one key. It's right.

microFix lives in your menu bar. Keep typing in whatever app you're in, press the fix key, and the run of text you just typed is rewritten in place with the correct spelling. No extra window, no copy-paste.

01 WORKS WHERE YOU TYPE

Fixes happen where you type.

Mail, chat, editors, browsers — wherever you're typing, the fix lands at your cursor. It joins the app's own undo history, so ⌘Z always takes you back.

02ONE KEY, EVERY MISTAKE

You don't have to pick the mistake.

Typos, missing apostrophes, words run together, text typed on the wrong keyboard — it's all the same single key. One action: take the run you just typed and make it right in the language you're writing.

What you typed
I'll snd yuo the deck tomorow
After the fix key
I'll send you the deck tomorrow

Plain mistypes, fixed in one pass — without touching slang or contractions you chose on purpose.

There's no mode to choose. The AI works out from context what kind of mistake it's looking at.

03ANY LANGUAGE

Any language.

There's no list of supported languages to check. Korean or Russian typed on the wrong layout, Spanish or German missing their accents — microFix knows what the text was meant to be. The UI speaks 14 languages.

KOREAN dkssudgktpdy 안녕하세요
RUSSIAN ghbdtn rfr ltkf привет как дела
SPANISH que hora es ¿Qué hora es?
GERMAN fur grussen uber für grüßen über

Wrong-layout recovery and accent restoration — same single key.

04SECOND CHANCES

Press again for another take.

Not the spelling you wanted? Press the key again. Alternatives from the same response cycle locally, with no extra wait. After the last one you're back at your original input — handy when an IME has already committed the wrong thing.

05PRIVATE BY DESIGN

Keystrokes are never recorded.

What you type lives only in an in-memory ring buffer, dropped on every click, app switch, and secure input. Nothing touches disk or the cloud. A fix sends only the run being fixed plus a little surrounding context — and none of it is stored on the server.

06THE DETAILS

The details do the heavy lifting.

See what's about to change While a fix is in flight, the text that will change is underlined — an overlay that never touches the app's own state.
Cycle alternatives Press again for the next candidate; a full loop returns to your original input. Run out, and it refetches with the ones you've seen excluded.
Personal dictionary Teach it names and jargon. Shares one dictionary with microVoice.
Replacement rules Deterministic rewrites for terms you always want spelled one way.
Rich editors, out of the box The underline works in editors like claude.ai and Notion with nothing to install. Wrapped text gets one per line.
Your trigger key ⌥Space by default — remap to ⇧Space, an F-key, whatever you like. It never steals the space your IME needs.
Secure input respected Password fields are neither read nor written. macOS secure input always wins.
⌘Z friendly Fixes join the app's undo history (in apps with accessibility replace).

What kinds of mistakes can it fix?
Romaji and pinyin left unconverted, homophone slips, dropped letters, half-converted fragments, text typed on the wrong keyboard layout, missing accents. It's all one action: take the run you just typed and make it right.
Does it work offline?
Fixing needs a network connection. When it can't reach the server — or anything else fails — it does nothing at all: not a single character of yours changes.
Is what I type recorded?
No. Keystrokes live only in an in-memory ring buffer that's dropped on clicks, app switches, and secure input. A fix sends only the run being fixed plus nearby context, and the server stores none of it.
Does it fight with my IME?
No. It never steals keys your IME needs (like ⇧Space while composing kana), and when there's nothing to fix, the original keystroke is passed through untouched. microFix's job starts after the IME has committed.
Does it work inside the browser?
Yes. Plain form fields work out of the box, and rich editors like claude.ai or Notion work too — including the underline preview, with nothing extra to install.
