- NewManual protect: blur the screen anytime from the menu bar or the iPhone shield icon — no face enrollment required. Unlock with Touch ID / password or another tap.
- ImprovedNew face-recognition engine (SFace, purpose-built for faces). Much more robust to lighting and angle changes — far fewer false blurs. Re-enrollment required after updating.
- New"Don't protect on battery" option to save power on the go.

- NewChoose which camera Away Privacy uses (built-in or external); it follows plug/unplug automatically.
